Stay Away From Matthew Magill: A story that starts with promise and ends with disconnection

TWO STARS

To go with this story, you have to buy into the unconvincing and poorly elucidated premise that Mennel is somehow destined to become Magill. That he is on his way to being wholesale alienated from his direct family members. That the touchy-feely final episodes are the necessary medicine to avoid this fate.

Power: The Maxwells: An extraordinary tale of risk and excess

Like the Epstein death, we’re left wondering whether or not Maxwell’s end was of his own doing. Was this the cowardly escape of a conman that simply couldn’t stick their punishment? Or the sinister execution of someone who knew too much? Of course, the other commonality is the high-profile escapee; the purring, cat-like figure of Ghislaine Maxwell.
